The Great Wall 2 is an imagined sequel to the 2016 action-fantasy epic The Great Wall, directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Matt Damon. The sequel expands the story beyond the Great Wall of China, exploring new mythological threats, powerful alliances, and the untold legends of ancient civilizations.

Set five years after the events of the first film, the peace forged after defeating the Tao Tei is shattered when remnants of the monstrous horde resurface—stronger, more cunning, and led by a new Alpha Queen. This time, the invaders target not only China but neighboring empires across the ancient world.

The Nameless Order, now commanded by General Lin Mae (Jing Tian), forms an alliance with skilled warriors from distant lands, including European knights, Persian assassins, and Mongolian raiders, creating a united front against a new apocalyptic threat emerging from the depths of Mongolia’s Black Desert.
